We are currently seeking a Person in Charge, also known as a Shift Lead, to join our team. This role is pivotal for ensuring smooth restaurant operations during your assigned shifts, especially when management is not present. The Person in Charge will oversee a team of 3 to 15 employees, ensuring that the store maintains its high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service. You will be entrusted with responsibilities ranging from supervising food preparation and service, managing inventory and supplies, delegating tasks, assisting team members during busy periods, to completing daily operational paperwork and equipment upkeep. We emphasize training and support, so you will be provided with all the necessary tools to succeed and grow within our dynamic organization.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $16, with opportunities for wage increases based on experience and performance. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business dictates
- Physical stamina to work 40-50 hours per week
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, listen, and have close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Occasionally able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or fast food industry preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and understanding of fractions
- Ability to work under pressure and during high volume periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, listen, and perform physical tasks as required
Job Duties
- Supervise a staff of approximately 3 to 15 employees
- Delegate responsibilities for ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies
- Assist in the supervision of preparation, sales, and service of food
- Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty
- Assist team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency
- Complete daily food preparation including meat and vegetable slicing, portioning, and rotating products
- Assist in daily and weekly paperwork
- Assist in preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and supplies
- Perform other related duties as required
