Job Description

Kerry is a global leader in taste and nutrition, dedicated to shaping how people across the world perceive food and beverage. The company operates with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, offering employees numerous opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Kerry Applied Health & Nutrition, a specialized division within Kerry, fosters a workplace culture that emphasizes exploration, growth, and a forward-thinking approach to the food and beverage industry. Employees are part of a dynamic environment where their contributions impact the global food landscape and promote healthier, more sustainable options for consumers. A career with Kerry not only offers job stability and growth prospects but also aligns with values centered around sustainability and positive change in the industry.

The role available is located at Kerry's Bethlehem, Pennsylvania facility, which is a vital part of the company’s Liquid Beverage division. This location specializes in creating coffee extracts and flavorings for a diverse range of Kerry products and customers worldwide. The position is an excellent opportunity for those who want to engage directly in production operations within a food-grade manufacturing environment specifically focused on coffee products. The pay rate is $29.00 per hour, reflecting a competitive compensation structure for the region and industry.

This role involves hands-on leadership and team support on the production floor. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day direction and assist the Supervisor by reinforcing expectations around safety, quality, and performance standards. The position requires overseeing various production activities, including operating equipment for roasting, grinding, extraction, reverse osmosis (RO), blending, and filling. Attention to detail is crucial, as is maintaining accurate documentation, such as batch records and production logs. This hands-on involvement ensures the output meets established key performance indicators (KPIs) and adheres to stringent quality standards.

The role also emphasizes safety and compliance, ensuring all team members follow safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and quality protocols. The candidate will model and enforce these procedures, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and support continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing safety and process reliability. Active participation in incident investigations and corrective actions is also a part of the job responsibilities.

In addition to production and safety duties, the position integrates systems proficiency by requiring the use of SAP for entering production data, managing material movements, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Effective communication is key for supporting shift handovers and assisting the Supervisor with data collection and performance reporting.

Flexibility is essential, as the candidate will provide coverage for the Supervisor during absences and attend necessary trainings or cross-functional meetings outside the core shift hours where required. There is also a collaborative aspect, as the candidate may need to support other departments or production lines depending on business needs.

Kerry offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, an Employee Share Plan, life insurance, disability coverage, and accident insurance. This rewarding role is perfect for an individual with a strong technical aptitude, leadership skills, commitment to safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented food production environment.
