Job Description

Stinker is a well-established family-owned convenience store chain that has been serving customers since 1936. Located across Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming, Stinker is known for its commitment to convenience, food, and friendly service, all while fostering a fun and welcoming environment. With the unique and memorable mascot, Polecat Pete, Stinker emphasizes creating positive experiences for employees, customers, and the communities it serves. The company culture is built on putting people first and making work enjoyable, contributing to a vibrant, engaging workplace where employees can thrive. Stinker’s dedication to employee satisfaction is evident in its competitive pay, extensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

The Shift Lead role at Stinker is a pivotal position within the store, responsible for combining excellent customer service skills with leadership capabilities. As a Shift Lead, you'll be the driving force behind an exceptional customer experience while supporting and managing your team to ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires enthusiasm, a proactive attitude, and a passion for leading by example. You’ll help oversee store employees, maintain adherence to company policies, and ensure that the store environment is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming. Your leadership will help cultivate a positive team atmosphere, motivate employees, and contribute to overall store success.

Working full time with hours ranging between 30 to 40 per week, this position demands open availability including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Located at 103 Hill Street in Kersey, Colorado, the Shift Lead receives a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.16 to $21.83, dependent on experience. This position offers a blend of managerial responsibilities alongside hands-on tasks such as inventory management, customer interaction, and store maintenance.

Stinker is a company that embraces fun and takes pride in fostering a culture with balance—encouraging employees to bring their authentic selves to work. Joining Pete’s Posse means you will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment with access to perks like merit-based raises, paid holidays, paid time off that grows with tenure, and a referral rewards program. Health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, and life insurance options, are designed to support the well-being of team members. Additionally, Stinker offers a 401(k) plan with a generous company match, an employee assistance program to help manage life’s challenges, and employee discounts.

By accepting the Shift Lead position, you are stepping into an opportunity to lead a vibrant team with a smile and contribute to a company committed to improving lives one interaction at a time. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring both employees and customers feel valued and appreciated, helping Stinker maintain its standing as a beloved and trusted convenience leader.
