Job Description

Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a dynamic and rapidly growing company in the restaurant industry. Founded in 2012 as a modest 30-unit Taco Bell operator, DRG has expanded steadily to manage over 240 units across multiple brands, making it a significant player in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector. DRG operates Taco Bell locations in California, Kansas, Missouri, and Nevada, and Arby's restaurants in Alaska, California, and Nevada. The company employs more than 6,000 team members and continues to grow every day, reflecting its commitment to excellence and strong community presence.

DRG prides itself on fostering a 'people first' culture, combining the advantages of a large company's resources with the close-knit atmosphere of a small business. This approach helps create a family-like environment where every employee is valued and supported. The company's core values—Respect, Integrity, Passion, Accountability, Commitment, and Teamwork—serve as guiding principles that influence every aspect of their operations and workplace culture.

The Shift Manager role at Diversified Restaurant Group is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments and seek career growth. This position is hourly, with a starting pay range of $18 per hour. Shift Managers play a crucial role in supporting other management levels by running efficient and effective shifts independently, providing leadership and fostering team cohesion. They take ownership of their responsibilities, demonstrating problem-solving capabilities and offering guidance and mentorship to team members.

As a leader within the restaurant, Shift Managers are expected to exhibit professional confidence, strong organizational skills, and clear communication. They deliver concise instructions with clarity and precision, manage their time effectively, and possess the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Shift Managers help maintain a positive work environment through their enthusiasm and ability to motivate others, ensuring that every guest receives high-quality service and food promptly.

Further responsibilities include maintaining food safety standards, enforcing company policies, and overseeing inventory and labor management. Shift Managers play an active role in the training and development of team members, providing regular and constructive feedback. They also assist with profit and loss management and cash control procedures, contributing to the overall operational success of the restaurant.

Employees in this role benefit from an inclusive, supportive atmosphere and various meaningful perks such as the DRG Cares Grant Program, which provides financial assistance during life challenges; an Employee Assistance Program; and educational benefits including GED reimbursement and language education. Other benefits include the DRG Savings Marketplace for exclusive employee discounts, the Live Mas Scholarship Program, an Employee Referral Program, and DailyPay, a program that allows employees to access their paychecks daily.

This role requires individuals who are at least 18 years old, have a minimum of one year of restaurant experience with proven leadership capabilities across all shifts, and meet health and safety standards, including passing the ServSafe certification. Must-have skills include basic math and reading proficiency, strong English communication abilities, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Maintaining a current Health Card as per state or local requirements is also necessary.

Overall, joining DRG as a Shift Manager offers a prime opportunity for career development in a company that values its employees and offers a clear pathway for growth. The role is based at the Taco Bell located at 1395 Big Fish Dr., Sparks, NV 89434.
