The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) at BURGER KING plays a vital leadership role focused on driving sales and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during assigned shifts. The HSC supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Manager (AM) by managing the team and facilitating coordination among staff to optimize performance outcomes. Working on-site in a full-time capacity, the HSC oversees Team Members directly and ensures all operational processes align with BURGER KING’s brand values.
As the on-shift leader, the Hourly Shift Coordinator handles inventory management, oversees product preparation, monitors speed of service, and motivates the team to exceed guest expectations. The role demands the ability to review restaurant results, identify successes and areas for improvement, and maintain operational and brand standards consistently. The HSC also provides coaching and constructive feedback to enhance team capabilities and steps in to perform Team Member duties when needed, showcasing versatility and commitment to the business. Job Duties
- Maintains inventory
- Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines
- Reviews restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement
- Ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
- Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings
- Provides coaching and feedback to Team Members to increase the restaurant team’s capabilities
- Performs duties of the Team Member when necessary
