The Senior Sales Manager focuses on acquiring and securing new accounts and adapting sales efforts to target diverse guest segments including Leisure, Business Travel, Groups, and SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, Fraternal) markets depending on the hotel’s needs.
This role not only demands strong sales acumen but also includes mentoring and training responsibilities for the broader sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will possess advanced communication and negotiation skills, be highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently. The position involves frequent solicitation calls, client entertainment, and sales tours, requiring a customer-centric approach and the ability to build solid relationships within the local community and industry organizations. Additionally, adherence to company policies, sales standards, and regulatory requirements is critical to success in this role.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience
- valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- excellent organizational and presentation skills
Job Qualifications

- developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate convince sell and influence managerial personnel hotel guests and or corporate clients
- experience with professional selling skills such as opening probing supporting closing
- proficiency in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products
- ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- strong organization and presentation skills
Job Duties
- effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals as well as solicitation call goals while training and mentoring others to do the same
- proactively conduct solicitation calls conduct sales tours and entertain clients specific to leisure smerf business travel and or groups as applicable by property
- monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality’s established regulations company standards sales standards and sales metrics related
- develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments
- maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable
- assist in implementing and or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments
- attend daily weekly monthly meetings and any other functions required by management
- perform any other duties as requested by the general manager or director of sales
