The hotel is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join its dynamic culinary team. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package after an initial waiting period. The role of the Cook is pivotal, overseeing the preparation and supervision of food across multiple outlets including the restaurant, café, room service, the employee cafeteria, and banquets. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate culinary expertise, impeccable attention to detail, and leadership skills to ensure that every dish served meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.

Key responsibilities of the Cook include leading kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations, proactively anticipating and resolving challenges, communicating effectively with coworkers and guests, and upholding strict hygiene and safety standards. Additionally, the Cook is expected to manage time efficiently to ensure prompt food preparation and service, and to exhibit creativity and passion that elevate the overall dining experience. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in culinary or related field
  • Culinary graduate with experience preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification required in compliance with state requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers and guests

Job Duties

  • Prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistently deliver high-quality food and service
  • Anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to keep kitchen operations running smoothly
  • Share information effectively and address concerns from co-workers and guests with professionalism and clarity
  • Keep the kitchen spotless and well-organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards
  • Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless
  • Manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point
