Job Description
Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel is a premier hospitality establishment located near prominent Wisconsin attractions such as Miller Park, Brookfield Square, and the Brookfield Conference Center. This upscale hotel caters to a diverse clientele, including business travelers, event guests, and families, offering a versatile and vibrant workplace environment. The hotel boasts 21 meeting venues, making it a prime location for business events, weddings, and social gatherings. Guests at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel enjoy an elevated experience with amenities like comfortable guest rooms equipped with mini-refrigerators, indoor and outdoor pools, and an on-site restaurant called The Craft Room, which serves Midwestern-inspired dishes and cocktails. The hotel prides itself on maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere, supported by a dedicated team of professionals who uphold high standards of service and hospitality.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Catering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is overtime eligible, with overtime compensated accordingly, and offers an opportunity to take center stage in shaping unforgettable events and driving the hotel's revenue growth. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of catering sales and event coordination with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences. Your primary mission will be to achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets by cultivating new accounts and nurturing existing client relationships. This position demands a proactive sales approach, creativity, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where every event is an opportunity to impress.
In your role, you will be the cornerstone of client relations, serving leisure guests, business travelers, SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal) groups, and more. You will lead engaging sales tours and ensure that every catering experience is seamless—from event bookings to banquet orders and final execution. As a community figure and industry participant, you will represent the hotel at local events, helping to maintain its reputation as a top-tier venue. Your service-oriented mindset will ensure that guest and team interactions consistently meet and exceed the company's high standards.
As a trusted team member, you will actively participate in management meetings, support special promotions, and assist wherever needed to enhance operational excellence. Your role includes safeguarding sensitive information and spaces, demonstrating reliability, stellar judgment, and upholding the company’s ethical standards and character. This comprehensive role is perfect for a sales-driven hospitality professional with a passion for event management and client service looking to make a significant impact within a renowned hotel setting.
