Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales or catering sales management
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of sales and revenue management
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to respond promptly to leads and requests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in sales management, catering sales management, or as a sales coordinator
- Professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting and closing
- Experience with internet research and database mining
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Valid driver's license
- Analytical, strategic, and proactive approach
- Skills in problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation and contract interpretation
- Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and group settings
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits and competitor landscape
Job Duties
- Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals
- Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment
- Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality's regulations, company and sales standards
- Develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations and policies
- Follow proper event management procedures including BEO creation and room block management
- Accurately produce and review all catering contracts and banquet event orders
- Listen and identify customer needs and respond accordingly
- Prospect for new business using creative and innovative methods
- Weigh the value of business against hotel objectives
- Utilize yield management techniques and negotiate room rates
- Use Revenue Management resources to maximize revenue
- Understand and analyze revenue management principles and their market impact
- Understand competitor strategies and capitalize on hotel strengths
- Improve sales processes and systems
- Respond to leads and RFPs within 24 hours
- Maintain timely and accurate hotel communication
- Conduct site inspections and local sales calls
- Promote hotel through community involvement
- Maintain visibility in local business networking organizations
- Attend required meetings and functions
- Perform other duties as requested by management
