The hotel boasts 429 custom-designed guest accommodations featuring the signature Sheraton Bed, flat-panel HDTVs, and complimentary basic high-speed internet access. The Convention Services Manager plays a pivotal role in the hotel’s events and catering department, responsible for driving catering and food and beverage sales while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This overtime eligible managerial position requires the individual to collaborate closely with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering & Convention Services to achieve revenue goals and deliver outstanding event services. The role demands a dynamic professional who excels in building relationships with clients, coordinating successful events, and staying ahead of market trends. As the primary contact for event organizers, the Convention Services Manager ensures that every event is flawlessly executed, creating standout memories for guests and clients alike. This position combines sales acumen, event management expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills to contribute significantly to the hotel’s reputation and business growth. The role is critical to maintaining the high standards of service and operational excellence that the Sheraton brand embodies, while also fostering a positive and collaborative work environment with colleagues and management.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage or events
  • Professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and present effectively

  • Collaborate with team members and attend key meetings to ensure smooth hotel operations
  • Manage event orders accurately and promptly communicate any changes
  • Provide support and flexibility to handle additional tasks assigned by management
