Job Description

Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel stands as a premier hospitality establishment located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. This hotel boasts 429 custom-designed rooms offering guests the comfort of the Sheraton Signature Bed, entertainment through 32 or 42-inch flat-panel HDTVs, and complimentary basic high-speed internet access in all guest rooms. Guests can conveniently enjoy dining at The Chef’s Table, an on-site restaurant known for its quality offerings. Catering to a wide range of needs, the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel provides an ideal venue for corporate meetings, conventions, and special social events, making it a central hub for business and leisure travelers alike. The hotel prides itself on delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through its doors.

The role of Catering Manager at Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel is a pivotal position responsible for driving sales, managing client relationships, and orchestrating flawless events. This overtime-eligible managerial position offers a dynamic work environment where creativity and strategic sales skills are highly valued. As a Catering Manager, you will play a key role in not only meeting but exceeding revenue targets by actively pursuing new business opportunities and strengthening the loyalty of existing clients. Your responsibilities will encompass planning and executing various catering events with precision, coordinating banquet orders, and managing event schedules to ensure every occasion runs smoothly.

Success in this role requires a blend of hospitality expertise, sales acumen, and exceptional organizational abilities. You will be the face of the hotel's catering services, leading engaging sales tours for prospective clients, and acting as a trusted liaison who nurtures long-term relationships with a diverse clientele that includes leisure guests, business travelers, and special groups such as SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal). Your ability to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards will be essential in upholding the hotel’s reputation.

Additionally, as a team leader, you will collaborate closely with various departments to support promotional initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the property’s catering division. Your strong communication skills, both verbal and written, will be crucial in negotiating contracts and influencing client decisions, while your proficiency with technology and the Microsoft Office suite will aid in managing multiple tasks efficiently.

A valid driver’s license is required for this role, highlighting the importance of flexibility and mobility in visiting clients and community events. The hotel offers a competitive benefits package, including daily pay options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance coverage, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401(k) retirement plan, all designed to support the well-being and professional growth of its employees.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, organized, and customer-focused professional who desires to make a significant impact in a prestigious hotel environment. If you are passionate about hospitality, sales, and event management, and you thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative setting, joining Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel as a Catering Manager is your chance to shine and elevate your career to the next level.
