It stands out as an ideal choice for travelers, whether for leisure or business purposes, thanks to its close proximity to major airports including Los Angeles International (LAX), Long Beach (LGB), and John Wayne (SNA). The hotel boasts beautifully appointed guest rooms, designed to offer guests a relaxing retreat after a day filled with adventures to nearby attractions like Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland, and California Adventure Parks. The venue also features a vibrant lobby lounge where visitors can unwind with expertly crafted cocktails, engaging conversations, and delicious California cuisine. This welcoming hotel environment ensures exceptional guest experiences marked by comfort and convenience.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Catering Manager to become a key member of our hospitality team. This role is essential in elevating event experiences and driving the hotel's revenue growth through strategic sales and exceptional customer service. The Catering Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale banquets, ensuring each function is executed flawlessly and leaves a lasting impression. As an overtime eligible manager (OEM), this position includes opportunities for overtime compensation, reflecting the commitment required to excel in this multifaceted role.

The ideal candidate will leverage their hospitality expertise, sales acumen, and creative flair to foster strong client relationships and secure new business opportunities. Success in this position means not only meeting but exceeding sales targets by identifying and developing new accounts while maintaining satisfaction among existing clients. The Catering Manager will act as a relationship builder with various groups, including leisure guests, business travelers, and SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal) groups, leading engaging sales tours and delivering memorable client experiences.

In addition to sales responsibilities, the Catering Manager will orchestrate all event planning details, such as banquet orders, event lists, and scheduling. Attention to detail and meticulous organization are paramount to ensure smooth and successful events. The role requires active participation in community outreach and industry gatherings to raise the hotel's profile and foster partnerships.

Providing exceptional service in every guest and team interaction is a fundamental aspect of this role. The Catering Manager is expected to uphold and exceed company standards while working collaboratively with other departments to implement special promotions and support management initiatives. Trustworthiness and professionalism are crucial, as the manager will handle sensitive information and maintain the highest standards of integrity and character.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in catering sales preferred. Candidates should possess creativity, a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, and demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy are necessary to manage the administrative aspects of the job efficiently. The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and maintaining strong organizational and presentation skills will contribute to success in this fast-paced environment.
