The Activity Coordinator position at ArchWell Health plays a crucial role in creating an inclusive and engaging environment tailored for senior members. Working closely with the Center Manager, the Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning and delivering meaningful and diverse programming within the activity centers. This role ensures that activities promote social connection, emotional well-being, and enhanced quality of life for seniors. The Activity Coordinator develops best practices aimed at consistently improving the member experience while maintaining stringent safety standards and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.

This role also involves building and strengthening partnerships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and marketing partners to enrich programming options and member engagement. Effective communication and coordination between center staff, members, and community partners are essential aspects of this position. Additionally, the Activity Coordinator tracks and reports on the success of activities, member participation trends, and program outcomes to facilitate continuous improvements. The ideal candidate is passionate about seniors, exhibits a strong work ethic, emotional intelligence, and integrity, and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. They must be able to creatively design, implement, and facilitate programs that accommodate different mobility levels, cognitive abilities, and personal preferences among older adults.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma preferred or equivalent experience
  • minimum of one year experience in hospitality, healthcare, or client-services environment
  • experience working in a clinic or healthcare setting preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of center activities including strategy, communication, setup, facilitation, and breakdown
  • ensure high-quality events and an exceptional member experience
  • ensure all member activities adhere to compliance requirements and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and patient safety standards
  • maintain a safe, orderly, and accessible activity center environment
  • support building and strengthening relationships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and marketing partners
  • partner with the Center Manager to ensure effective communication between center staff, the activity coordinator function, and members
  • track and report on member engagement, participation trends, and activity outcomes
