The role available at St. John's is the Shahbaz Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a vital position responsible for delivering personalized care to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans. This role operates under the supervision of a licensed nurse and focuses on all aspects of primary care—especially attending to the residents' needs beyond the traditional medical model. The CNA is essential in maintaining a high standard of care by addressing the holistic needs of residents, including their emotional and social well-being. This position requires a commitment to empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team dedicated to senior care excellence. The CNA will be expected to complete a comprehensive nursing orientation and work on a rotating weekend schedule as part of their full or part-time work commitments. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, as well as the capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Current NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license
  • Experience in complex care and hospital setting
  • Ability to complete comprehensive nursing orientation
  • Willingness to work weekends on a rotating basis
  • Required to attend full orientation
  • May be required to complete assessment via email as part of application process
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current resume or complete employment history required to be considered for this position
