The Concierge Lounge Attendant plays a crucial role in welcoming guests warmly and ensuring an inviting and efficient experience in the concierge lounge area. Responsibilities include greeting guests promptly upon arrival and serving as a vital communication link between guests and other hotel departments by managing reservations and responding to special requests. The attendant maintains an updated resource file covering hotel amenities, local services, and attractions, effectively suggesting and promoting these services to guests to enrich their stay. Maintaining cleanliness and order in the concierge lounge is also a key duty, including managing the kitchenette, keeping furniture and surfaces clean, and ensuring the environment meets the highest standards throughout the shift. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of self-initiative, and the ability to multitask and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions. It is ideal for individuals who have a customer service background, exhibit resourcefulness and creativity in problem-solving, and enjoy fostering excellent relationships among guests and staff. Additionally, the role requires physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine cleaning and organizing duties.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies)
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles)
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests in the concierge lounge within 2 minutes of guest arrival
  • Act as a liaison between guests and hotel departments by making reservations and following up on special requests
  • Maintain an information file on hotel and local services and attractions and recommend them to the guest, suggestively selling hotel amenities and services
  • Clean Concierge lounge throughout the shift by picking up dirty dishes and glasses and maintaining the kitchenette, including cleaning of floors, furniture and surfaces
