The position available is for a Set Up Technician located in Franklin Park, Illinois. This full-time role offers a competitive starting pay range of $28.73 to $34.14 per hour, depending on experience, and operates primarily on a 7am-7pm shift with a 2-2-3 schedule. The Set Up Technician plays an integral role within the manufacturing environment, focusing on ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include performing minor and major changeovers on Lyle Thermoforming and OMG equipment on the production floor, removing and loading inserts in molds both offline in the tool shop and online, and accurately recording changeover events. Additionally, the technician assists with basic extrusion tasks to support inline changeovers and resolve process issues, performs general maintenance on automation equipment, and executes necessary repairs to allow continuous production. The role requires collaboration with maintenance associates for troubleshooting and involves contributing to the training of operator associates on machine controls. Set up technicians also monitor manufacturing processes relative to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) requirements and maintain accurate records via the plant's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). In this capacity, individuals demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative, perform duties with limited supervision, and support multiple facets of the production operation.
