This particular role focuses on ServiceNow application development and consulting within Guidehouse’s dynamic cloud and software development divisions. The position involves leading the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow applications with a strong emphasis on aligning solutions with business objectives while adhering to best practices. The ServiceNow Developer will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into technical designs, developing scalable and secure applications, and guiding other developers on technical matters. The role requires a proactive developer with expertise in modules such as GRC, SPM, ITSM, as well as App Engine and Scoped Apps. The developer will work on configuring and improving ServiceNow applications, conducting technical assessments, performing testing, debugging issues, and supporting platform upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of professional experience in ServiceNow development, possess a bachelor’s degree, and be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Federal or Department of Homeland Security Public Trust clearance. Excellent communication skills and collaborative problem-solving abilities are crucial to succeed in this role. The developer must be agile and detail-oriented with experience in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Glide, and AngularJS, and be familiar with integration technologies including Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST APIs. Experience in Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle processes is essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage multiple priorities independently.

Job Duties

  • Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow
  • lead the development of ServiceNow applications ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices
  • provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers
  • develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications
  • stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation
  • conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations
  • conduct reviews of functionality developed by ServiceNow development team and perform unit, system, and integration testing
  • debug and fix technical problems
  • support the development of detailed technical and functional documentation
  • provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users
  • participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration
  • ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions
