This particular role is within Guidehouse's SaaS/PAAS/Cloud Application Development and Consulting family with a focus on Software Development and Support. The position requires up to 25 percent travel and necessitates the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The role centers on leveraging ServiceNow technology to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions. The ServiceNow Developer will lead the development of ServiceNow applications ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices, providing technical expertise and guidance, and continuously innovating with the latest ServiceNow features and industry trends.

Key responsibilities include designing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow applications particularly within modules such as GRC, SPM, ITSM, App Engine, and Scoped Apps. The developer will conduct technical assessments, perform unit, system, and integration testing, debug issues, and support documentation efforts. Participation in platform upgrade activities and ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions are also important aspects of the role. The position requires strong communication skills to provide demonstrations and collaborate effectively with product owners, end users, and development teams.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust clearance, with preference given to those with active Public Trust or Suitability. A minimum of three years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree are required. Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies, Agile environment, ServiceNow modules, scripting, web services integration, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential. Additional qualifications such as familiarity with ServiceNow automated testing frameworks, relevant certifications, and work experience within the Washington, DC metropolitan area, or federal financial management are advantageous.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000 to $188,000, with compensation reflecting skills, experience, clearances, and certifications. Job Requirements

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Job Duties

  • Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow
  • Lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers
  • Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications
  • Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations
  • Conduct reviews of functionality developed by ServiceNow development team and perform unit, system, and integration testing
  • Debug and fix technical problems
  • Support the development of detailed technical and functional documentation
  • Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users
  • Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions
