The role of ServiceNow Developer at Guidehouse is vital for translating complex business requirements into effective software solutions using the ServiceNow platform. This position involves leading the development and enhancement of ServiceNow applications, ensuring they align with business objectives and industry best practices. The ServiceNow Developer will provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers, maintain up-to-date knowledge of the platform's features and capabilities, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, as well as proficiency in scripting languages and ServiceNow modules such as GRC, SPM, ITSM, App Engine, and Scoped Apps.

In addition to coding and development tasks, the ServiceNow Developer will conduct technical assessments, perform unit and integration testing, debug technical issues, and support platform upgrade activities including regression testing. The developer will also be responsible for creating detailed technical and functional documentation and delivering application demonstrations to stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that ServiceNow solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable over time. The position requires the ability to effectively work in a team environment, communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $113,000 to $188,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Employment in this role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or Department of Homeland Security Public Trust clearance, with a preference for candidates who currently hold an active Public Trust or higher clearance. Travel of up to 25 percent may be required, including commuting to client or corporate offices in the Washington, DC metropolitan area up to three days per week.

Job Duties

  • Help translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow
  • lead the development of ServiceNow applications ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices
  • provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers
