The role of ServiceNow Developer at Guidehouse is a critical position within the Software Development and Support family, particularly focused on SAAS/PAAS/Cloud Application Development and Consulting. This position requires up to 25 percent travel and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in ServiceNow platform development and integration, with experience in modules such as GRC, SPM, ITSM, App Engine, and Scoped Apps. The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for transforming complex business requirements into effective technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow technologies. They will lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring that project objectives align with business needs and industry best practices. Leadership skills are essential, as the developer will provide guidance and technical expertise to other developers in the team.
In this role, the developer will configure, enhance, and maintain existing ServiceNow applications while staying up to date with the latest ServiceNow features and industry trends to continuously drive innovation and improvements. The role involves conducting technical assessments, offering recommendations for improvement, performing testing including unit, system, and integration tests, and debugging technical issues to ensure solutions are reliable and scalable. The developer will also be responsible for creating detailed technical and functional documentation, presenting application demonstrations to stakeholders, and assisting with platform upgrade activities including regression testing and reconfiguration. Maintaining the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions is a key aspect of this role.
Candidates for this role must be US citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Federal or Department of Homeland Security Public Trust clearance, with an active Public Trust or Suitability preferred. The position requires a minimum of three years of professional experience, a bachelor's degree, and strong skills in communication, analysis, and problem-solving. Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies, agile environments, and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Glide, and AngularJS is essential. Knowledge of web services integration including Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST is preferred.
