Job Description

Asbury Automotive Group, a renowned Fortune 500 company listed on the NYSE as ABG, stands as one of the largest franchised automotive retailers across the United States. Under the leadership of the Herb Chambers brand and its innovative dealership model, Asbury Automotive Group is reshaping the car buying and service experience through the integration of advanced technologies such as Clicklane. The company is driven by its core values and cultural pillars represented by the North Star, Compass, and DRIVE values, which collectively emphasize the commitment to exceptional guest experiences, teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.

Herb Chambers and Asbury Automotive Group have established themselves as leaders in automotive retail by prioritizing guests and team members equally, fostering a workplace environment that promotes inclusivity, support, and development. Their dedication to providing memorable customer service experiences has earned them recognition from major publications such as Newsweek and US News & World Report as one of the best places to work. This acknowledgment reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to create a positive and dynamic culture where employees feel valued and empowered.

This specific opportunity is for the role of Service Valet/Porter at Asbury. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20, with final pay determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, and relevant industry knowledge. The Service Valet/Porter plays a critical role as the initial point of contact for guests arriving for vehicle service. Valets/Porters are responsible for greeting customers promptly and courteously, gathering vehicle information, assisting service advisors in maintaining a well-organized service drive, and safely transporting vehicles from the service lane to the appropriate service bays.

In this role, candidates must demonstrate responsibility through safe vehicle handling, secure key retention procedures, and cooperation with dealership teams to maintain smooth operations. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and on their feet for extended periods, fostering a professional yet approachable demeanor that upholds the company's high standards of customer satisfaction. There is a preference for candidates with the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles, highlighting the need for versatile driving skills. This role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment with ample opportunities for professional development, internal training through Asbury’s Learning Management System, and clear pathways for career advancement.

With a commitment to team member wellbeing and growth, Asbury also offers an extensive suite of benefits that include medical, vision, dental insurance, paid parental and pregnancy leave, a 401(k) plan with company match, and even pet insurance. Additional perks like paid holidays, stock awards for eligible employees, and tuition assistance underline the company’s dedication to rewarding and supporting its workforce. Candidates interested in joining a leading automotive retail group with a focus on guest-centric service and personal development will find this role both fulfilling and professionally rewarding.
