In the role of Service Valet at Toyota Boston, located in Boston and Medford, MA, the successful candidate will play a vital role as the initial point of contact for customers arriving for vehicle service. This position offers an annual compensation ranging from $40,000 to $50,000, with the final salary dependent on experience, education, and industry background. The Service Valet position is customer-facing and requires an individual who combines energetic, people-focused qualities with a passion for automotive service and excellence.

The Service Valet/Porter is responsible for warmly greeting arriving service customers, efficiently checking them in for their appointments, and ensuring their vehicles are safely moved from the service drive into the shop for maintenance or repairs. Key responsibilities include obtaining vehicle information directly from customers in a timely and friendly manner, assisting Service Advisors, maintaining organization within the service drive area, and securely retaining keys by following all departmental safeguard protocols.

This role demands proactive collaboration with dealership associates and departments to maintain smooth operations and to actively promote return visits by delivering excellent customer service that contributes to high customer satisfaction scores (CSI). The Service Valet is expected to assist other team members as needed to ensure the dealership functions fully during business hours and must be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks such as working outdoors and standing for long periods. Job Duties

  • Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain vehicle information at the customer's vehicle when possible
  • Assist the Service Advisor in helping customers while maintaining organization in the service drive
  • Move the customers vehicle following the greeting process as outlined by management in a safe and secure manner
  • Retain keys according to departmental safeguard procedures
  • Actively promote effective working relationships with associates and departments in the dealership
  • Follow dealership specific procedures for active vehicle delivery of the customers vehicle resulting in return visits and admirable (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index
  • Readily assist fellow dealership personnel in completing the work necessary to ensure full functioning of the dealership
  • Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time
