Job Description

Patterson Companies, Inc. is a dynamic company dedicated to delivering top-notch products, technologies, services, and business solutions in the animal and oral health markets. Known for its people-first culture, Patterson embraces diversity and encourages professional growth, making it a great place for motivated individuals seeking to advance their careers. Patterson believes that its employees are key to building a stronger and more successful organization, offering a supportive and motivating environment where talents and experiences are valued. This commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture distinguishes Patterson as more than just a place to work; it is a partner invested in your success.

The role on offer is for a Dental Service Technician, a position ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for customer service. As a Dental Service Technician at Patterson, you will join the Dental Service team, working alongside some of the best professionals in the dental industry. You will have the opportunity to learn how to install and repair a variety of dental equipment, including computer-related items, growing your skills in a supportive environment. The company supplies comprehensive training through mentoring and online courses via the Patterson Technology Academy, preparing you to work independently with a variety of dental technologies. This position is full-time and offers competitive compensation, with a salary range from $19.23 to $25.00 per hour, potentially adjusted based on location, experience, and skills.

Your daily responsibilities will center around safely removing, modifying, repairing, and installing dental equipment while adhering to manufacturer and company guidelines, as well as applicable laws like OSHA regulations relating to asepsis. You will ensure thorough evaluations of critical parts through detailed checklists and demonstrate a strong understanding of installation procedures and jobsite protocols. Beyond technical skills, this role emphasizes excellent customer service, requiring you to respond promptly and professionally, maintain respectful and considerate interactions, and build strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up. You will also be expected to manage inventory and maintain vehicle safety standards, aligning closely with Patterson's high standards for both product quality and customer satisfaction.

The role demands a commitment to a strong work ethic and problem-solving capabilities, as you will often encounter situations requiring persistence and the ability to go beyond your training to find solutions. Interpersonal skills are equally important, as you will collaborate with customers, vendors, and colleagues, even in challenging situations, ensuring that all communications foster positive relationships. The job involves physical aspects such as lifting supplies and equipment, performing installations in various positions, and traveling 100% to customer sites within a local geographic area, with occasional overnight or after-hours travel required. This comprehensive, hands-on position is not only an exciting opportunity for career growth but also invites you to be part of a company passionate about innovation, advancement, and people-first values.
