As a Service Technician/Assistant Driver located at our Richmond, Virginia facility, you will play a critical role in the ongoing success of this rapidly growing portable sanitation company. Owned and operated by Marine Corps veterans, the team prides itself on maintaining the highest standards of performance, integrity, and customer service. The role requires servicing, cleaning, and stocking a variety of portable sanitation units including portable toilets, holding tanks, freshwater systems, hand-wash stations, and restroom-shower trailers. You will be responsible for completing daily service routes efficiently while maintaining professional customer interaction and clear communication with dispatchers.

The position demands physical fitness and technical skills to perform routine and emergency maintenance of portable restrooms, servicing and restocking consumables to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of your company truck, including refueling and cleaning, and ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and arranged. A focus on safety is paramount, with strict adherence to traffic laws and other regulations relevant to commercial drivers. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
  • Valid driver’s license and safe clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations including traffic laws and driving rules
  • Physical fitness to pass a biennial physical exam
  • Successful background check
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • U.S. citizenship required for some job sites
  • Clean criminal history for site access

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations including traffic laws and driver rest requirements
  • Physical fitness to meet job demands and pass required physical exams
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and drag 185 lbs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Service, clean and stock portable toilets, holding tanks, freshwater systems, hand-wash stations and restroom-shower trailers as needed
  • Vacuum pump, clean and sanitize portable restroom units on customer site
  • Stock and replenish paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and refill water holding tanks
  • Perform daily maintenance of truck including refueling and cleaning
  • Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers daily for completing service routes
  • Obey and follow applicable traffic laws
  • Repair portable restroom units onsite as necessary
  • Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
  • Report defects, accidents, and violations
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner
