Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is a globally recognized leader in providing sustainable productivity solutions across various critical industries including electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production, and infrastructure. Known for its commitment to innovation and high-quality service, Atlas Copco leverages cutting-edge technologies and breakthroughs in sustainable practices to support industry growth and environmental stewardship. The company prides itself on delivering products and services that enhance efficiency and safety while maintaining a strong customer focus. With a rich history of excellence and a forward-thinking culture, Atlas Copco is dedicated to developing solutions that contribute to a better tomorrow.
The role of Service Technician at Atlas Copco is pivotal in delivering the company's promise of safe, efficient, and high-quality service. As a Service Technician, you will be the primary contact for customers within your assigned territory, ensuring their air compressor systems and related equipment operate reliably. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems including air compressors, air dryers both regenerative and refrigerated, controllers, low-pressure blowers, drains, and more. You will also be responsible for setting up and installing compressor systems including piping, maintaining cleanliness and safety of equipment areas through pressure washing and related tasks. Continuous learning is a key part of this role, as you will gain expertise in advanced technologies such as variable speed drives (VSDs), refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
Customer service excellence is another cornerstone of this role, requiring strong communication skills to clearly explain service options, repairs, upgrades, and any additional customer needs. Documentation is critical, including detailed service reports, start-up forms, warranty and oil sample forms, and parts return documents. You will also engage in ongoing training at Atlas Copco's Air Academy and collaborate closely with senior technicians to enhance your technical skills. The role demands adherence to safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment. A key operational aspect includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule providing 24/7/365 service availability, with potential travel that may be overnight or out-of-town.
This position offers flexibility as it is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the assigned territory offering a great work-life balance. Atlas Copco provides a competitive hourly wage ranging between $27 and $34 based on expertise, skill level, and experience, with consideration of geographic cost of living adjustments. Overtime eligibility applies after eight hours of work per day. Comprehensive benefits include a flexible plan with medical, dental, and vision coverage, a generous 401(k) retirement plan match plus automatic contributions, paid time off, life and disability insurance, paid training opportunities, as well as parental and adoption leave. The company also equips you with necessary tools including a company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and uniform to support your success in the field.
Working at Atlas Copco means being part of a company that values innovation, quality, safety, and sustainability. It provides a dynamic environment where your technical skills and customer-centric approach will directly impact the communities and industries served. Join Atlas Copco in their mission to create a safer and more sustainable future while advancing your career in a respected and forward-looking global organization.
