Headquartered in Whippany, New Jersey, the company has grown into a nationwide distributor of propane, renewable propane, renewable natural gas (RNG), fuel oil, and related products and services. In addition to these core offerings, Suburban Propane also markets natural gas and electricity and is actively involved in producing and investing in low carbon fuel alternatives. Serving approximately 1 million residential, commercial, governmental, industrial, and agricultural customers through about 700 locations across 42 states, Suburban Propane is a company dedicated to meeting the energy needs of a diverse clientele. The company’s operations are guided by three core pillars: the Suburban Commitment, which highlights its 90+ year legacy of dependability and excellence in customer service; SuburbanCares, a program focused on community giving; and Go Green with Suburban Propane, which emphasizes investment in renewable energy and a sustainable clean energy future. Joining Suburban Propane means becoming part of a dynamic and fast-paced organization with a strong sense of community and a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, training, development, and teamwork.
The role of Service Technician at Suburban Propane is an exciting entry point for individuals passionate about customer service, technical skill development, and working in the energy sector. This full-time position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fuel systems and appliances, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Suburban Propane provides extensive training and the necessary tools to jumpstart and grow your career, including a structured new employee training program and ongoing opportunities for professional development. Part of your responsibilities will include maintaining the service vehicle, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safe operation while delivering fuel efficiently. This is an outstanding career opportunity to join a reputable national company investing heavily in the future of clean and renewable energy while making a tangible difference in the communities served.
