This part-time Store Associate role based in Waco, TX, focuses heavily on delivering exceptional customer service and helping customers find the products they need in a fast and friendly manner. The associate assists with various aspects of the store's operations, including customer interaction, checkout, merchandise stocking, and store recovery to maintain compliance with brand promises and store standards. Key responsibilities include helping customers shop and locate products, executing cash handling procedures with accuracy, and promoting the company's Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments. The associate educates customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and supports omni-channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), contributing to a seamless shopping experience across sales channels.
The role also involves physical tasks such as truck unloading, stocking shelves, and maintaining planograms (POGs). This requires the associate to perform store recovery, merchandise returns, and general store upkeep to ensure a well-stocked and organized store environment. Additionally, the associate is responsible for supporting shrink and safety programs and adhering to standard operating procedures to maintain legal and company compliance. Interpersonal skills are emphasized, requiring a positive and respectful attitude even in challenging situations to promote the company’s vision and values. The role offers cross-training opportunities in Custom Framing selling and production, enhancing the associate's skill set. Job Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age
- ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- ability to move throughout the store
- capable of regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
- must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment
- able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
- willingness to engage in interactive process for reasonable accommodations if necessary
Job Qualifications
- Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
- ability to interact with customers in a positive and respectful manner
- capable of completing cash handling tasks accurately
- able to follow Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
- ability to participate in physical tasks such as stocking and unloading
- willingness to support company shrink and safety programs
- cross training in Custom Framing is a plus
Job Duties
- Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
- provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
- execute cash handling to standards
- engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
- educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
- assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
- participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
- complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery
- perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
- interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner
- cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
- other duties as assigned
