Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a prominent family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept founded in 1983 in Glendale, California. It has grown to become the largest of its kind in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations worldwide. The company is committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to its customers while fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to improve and better their lives. This dedication to family values and community impact is a hallmark of Panda Restaurant Group, fostering a workplace culture that feels like a second family and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth. The organization also places strong emphasis on giving back to the community through initiatives such as Panda Cares, illustrating its commitment to social responsibility and positive impact beyond just the restaurant industry.

Joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Service Team Associate means becoming part of a vibrant, supportive team focused on creating a welcoming environment for guests and delivering excellent service. Service Team Associates are the frontline ambassadors of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests warmly, serving food efficiently, and handling payments accurately. The role demands working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment, which may include rotating between positions such as front counter, drive-through, or kitchen duties. Maintaining cleanliness and following strict operational and safety standards to serve fresh, quality food is essential in this role. Employees can thrive in a safe and friendly workspace where teamwork is emphasized, and the atmosphere remains positive and fun.

Even candidates without prior experience are encouraged to apply, as Panda Restaurant Group provides comprehensive hands-on training to prepare team members for success and growth. This role offers a pathway to career advancement, with ongoing career and leadership development programs designed to help employees gain valuable skills and move into management positions over time. Besides competitive pay and flexible schedules, employees enjoy a range of benefits including free meals during shifts, access to medical, vision, dental, and additional insurance plans, as well as retirement savings plans with company matching contributions. Paid time off options and associate discounts on various brands further enhance the employee experience.

The company embraces diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of gender, race, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. It complies fully with ADA regulations, ensuring reasonable accommodations during the hiring process and employment by providing supports such as sign language interpreters. Physical and environmental job demands include the ability to stand for extended periods, handle kitchen equipment safely, lift up to 50 pounds, and adapt to a dynamic and sometimes noisy environment. Successful Service Team Associates are friendly, helpful, and have effective communication skills to manage fast-paced settings and interact positively with coworkers and guests.

This role not only offers a fulfilling job experience but also the chance to contribute meaningfully to the community and develop a career within a highly respected company in the restaurant industry.
