The role of Service Route Driver at AVI Foodsystems is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation and customer satisfaction that AVI Foodsystems is known for. This position involves managing the delivery and service routes that ensure products are transported and stocked efficiently at client locations. The Service Route Driver is responsible for loading and unloading products, driving company vehicles safely, and maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of vending machines and refrigeration units. This role requires an individual who is friendly, hardworking, and organized, with the ability to communicate positively with customers and team members alike. The ideal candidate will be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license (CDL not required), and possess the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Additionally, they should have excellent time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage their routes and inventory control.
This position also involves handling cash collections from vending machines and ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed with attention to detail and professionalism. Drivers will be trained extensively and supported by the company to maintain high standards of service and safety. Job Duties
- Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
- Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
- Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
- Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
- Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
- Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
- Collect unsold and stale merchandise
- Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
- Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
- Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
- Manage the care of the company vehicle
