With a vast network of dealerships across the country, AutoNation offers a wide variety of new and used vehicles, customer financing options, genuine parts, and expert maintenance and repair services. The company prides itself on empowering customers to make the best decisions for their automotive needs while fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. AutoNation is dedicated to creating a culture that values innovation, teamwork, and making a positive impact in the community through initiatives like DRV PNK, which has raised over $40 million for cancer research and treatment.

The role of Service Porter at AutoNation plays a critical part in the overall customer experience by ensuring that vehicles are maintained, serviced, and returned to customers in excellent condition. The Service Porter handles a variety of tasks related to vehicle upkeep and customer assistance, making it a dynamic and engaging position within the dealership environment. This is a full-time role with a competitive hourly wage of $18.50 and includes access to several attractive benefits and perks.

In this position, the Service Porter is responsible for assisting with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks, as well as removing protective coverings and ID tags before returning vehicles to customers. A key responsibility is to inspect vehicles carefully for stains, debris, and damages, immediately reporting any issues discovered, thus upholding the highest standards of vehicle quality and customer satisfaction. The Service Porter also provides transportation for customers and dealership personnel as needed, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the dealership.

Other important duties include performing deliveries, cleaning the interior and exterior of both new and used vehicles, and maintaining a neat and orderly vehicle lot by moving units in accordance with dealership display standards. The role also requires returning vehicle keys to the appropriate service consultant, picking up vehicles from and delivering vehicles to storage, and collecting parts from the Parts Department. Additional tasks involve testing batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive and assisting with building and ground maintenance, shop clean-up, and deliveries as necessary.

The Service Porter position requires a detail-oriented and responsible individual who can work effectively within a team and provide excellent customer service. This role not only supports the operational flow of the dealership but also directly influences the positive interaction customers have during their visit, making it vital to the company’s reputation and success. AutoNation embraces a work environment that supports healthy work-life balance, and the Service Porter is offered comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, maternity benefits, 401k matching, and exclusive employee discounts on new and pre-owned vehicles and related services.

By joining AutoNation as a Service Porter, candidates will become part of a company committed to excellence and positive societal impact.
