Job Description

This job opportunity is with a reputable motorcycle dealership known for its commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction in the motorcycle sales and service industry. The dealership specializes in the sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles along with various other products and services related to the motorcycling lifestyle. It is recognized for fostering a positive environment that values teamwork, passion for motorcycles, and dedication to the riding community. This establishment serves a diverse range of motorcycle enthusiasts and provides a full spectrum of services from sales to maintenance and customization.

The role of Lot Porter is integral to the smooth operation of the dealership's Service Department. This full-time position involves the physical handling of motorcycles, ensuring they are clean, operational, and well-maintained throughout the service process. The Lot Porter works directly under the Service Manager and is responsible for tasks such as moving motorcycles in and out of service bays, performing pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and assembly of new units, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the dealership lot and service areas. The position also requires assistance with forklift operations for unloading freight trucks and handling various company equipment.

In addition to the physical duties, the Lot Porter plays a vital role in providing outstanding customer service by maintaining a professional and positive attitude, which contributes to the overall customer experience at the dealership. The job demands high energy levels, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility with work hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, is also necessary to meet the demands of the busy dealership environment.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of two years of motorcycle experience, particularly with Harley-Davidson models or similar. A valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement and a clean driving record are essential due to the nature of the duties involved. Physical capability to manage heavy motorcycles, attention to detail during assembly and washing, and familiarity with the dealership’s product offerings will enable the Lot Porter to excel in their position.

Overall, this is a dynamic position suited for an individual passionate about motorcycles and eager to contribute to a thriving dealership community. The Lot Porter position not only ensures the operational effectiveness of motorcycle handling but also supports the dealership’s mission in delivering exceptional motorcycle ownership experiences.
