Specializing in Harley-Davidson motorcycles as well as other premium brands, this dealership prides itself on delivering high standards in both product and service. Recognized in the motorcycle sales and service industry, the company maintains a strong presence in the community by fostering a passion for motorcycling culture and lifestyle among its customers and employees. As a business that values customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, it continually invests in employee development, offering training programs and advancement opportunities.
The role available is that of a Lot Porter within the Service Department, reporting directly to the Service Manager. This position is integral to the smooth operation of the dealership's service area and overall customer satisfaction. The Lot Porter is primarily responsible for moving and cleaning motorcycles, ensuring that all units remain in excellent working condition as they transition through the service process. The role extends to various hands-on tasks including detailed cleaning of motorcycles, assisting with assembly and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of new units, and maintaining an orderly and clean service lot and facility.
Individuals in this role need to provide prompt and dependable high-quality service, both internally to dealership staff and externally to customers. The Lot Porter must maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction through attention to detail and a positive interaction with the motorcycling community. This role involves tasks such as operating forklifts, unloading freight trucks delivering new units, and managing the physical requirements of pushing and loading motorcycles that may weigh over 800 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the position may require work on weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Beyond physical duties, the Lot Porter aides the Service Manager with various requests and must uphold safety and cleanliness around company property including work trucks and trailers. Familiarity with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and products is highly desirable, but a demonstrated ability to learn quickly is also valued. A passion for the motorcycling lifestyle is important to fit well with the dealership’s culture and customer base.
In summary, this is an active, physically demanding role suitable for individuals passionate about motorcycles and providing excellent customer service. The dealership offers a supportive work environment with comprehensive benefits, opportunities for career growth, and a chance to engage closely with the motorcycling community. Employment type is full-time, with an emphasis on reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude within a dynamic service team.
