With a strong commitment to quality and customer service, Shea Properties has earned a respected position in the property management industry. The company fosters a professional and ethical workplace environment aligned with its core values and business ethics policies. Employees are encouraged to uphold high standards of conduct while delivering exceptional service to residents and maintaining the overall appeal of the communities they manage.

The Service Porter Associate role at Shea Properties is a full-time, hourly position offering competitive pay ranging from $20.00 to $22.50 per hour. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic quality of the apartment community's common areas. In addition to the base salary, Service Porter Associates are eligible for renewal bonuses as well as discretionary annual bonuses, recognizing their contribution to the upkeep and positive resident experience.

This position requires attention to detail and excellent customer service skills as the Service Porter frequently interacts with residents, property management staff, and vendors. Among the key responsibilities are inspecting and cleaning various common areas such as laundry rooms, restrooms, leasing offices, models, recreational facilities, and pools. The Service Porter also maintains outdoor grounds, including landscape areas and pathways, ensuring cleanliness by removing trash and performing sweeping or washing as required.

A critical aspect of the role includes assisting with the preparation and turnover work on vacant apartments, following detailed company checklists and procedures. The position also involves delivering notices and informational flyers to residents, painting various safety and community structures like signs and fire hydrants, and supporting general maintenance tasks assigned by the Service Manager. Proper handling and stocking of maintenance supplies is also part of the job.

The working environment is dynamic with a schedule typically from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekend shifts based on community needs. Flexibility is important as hours may vary. The role demands physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional driving. Shea Properties supports an inclusive workplace as an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds without discrimination.

Joining Shea Properties as a Service Porter Associate offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a dedicated team maintaining safe, clean, and attractive living environments where residents can thrive. The comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k plans, disability and life insurance, a sign-on bonus, and a cell phone allowance, further enhances the overall employment value, making this role an attractive offering for individuals seeking stable employment in property services.
