Job Description

Arrow Ford is a well-established, locally owned and operated automotive dealership located in Abilene, Texas, proudly serving the community since 1964. The dealership encompasses a wide range of automotive services and brands including Ford, Mitsubishi, Loan Arranger, Arrow Point Auto Mall, a full-service department, Quick Lane, Body Shop, Rental Car, and Auto Accessories & More. The Arrow family is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment for its employees. Their mission centers around assisting customers, coworkers, and communities in achieving their goals, embodying a culture of mutual respect and long-term relationship building. Arrow Ford also offers a unique customer rewards program called Arrow For Life, featuring benefits such as an Engine For Life Guarantee and lifetime oil changes, reinforcing their commitment to doing business the right way.

The Service Porter role at Arrow Ford is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of the fast-paced service department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, staying active, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The Service Porter acts as the frontline in delivering excellent customer experiences by managing vehicle flow, ensuring the service areas remain organized and clean, and providing essential support to service advisors and technicians. Responsibilities include greeting customers professionally, safely moving vehicles through the service process, preparing vehicles for delivery, and assisting with shuttle coordination and transportation when needed. Additionally, the role involves picking up and delivering parts or vehicles between departments and helping uphold the dealership’s appearance both inside and out.

This opportunity offers a dynamic working environment that values reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Candidates for the position need a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and should be capable of operating both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, though the latter is preferred. The job requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and moving vehicles, and the willingness to pass required preemployment screenings including background and drug checks.

Arrow Ford emphasizes investing in its people through comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities. Employees enjoy custom competitive pay plans, low-deductible health, vision, and dental insurance, voluntary insurance options, a 401(k) plan with company participation, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Additionally, the dealership offers unique perks such as free childcare for school-aged children through the I-CAN Kids program, employee discounts on vehicles and services, and a workplace that is closed on Sundays to support work-life balance. Arrow Ford also provides extensive training, mentorship, and career ladder programs designed to promote employee growth and advancement within the company.

Overall, working as a Service Porter at Arrow Ford means joining a reputable employer that cares about its team members and provides a supportive, engaging, and rewarding work environment in the automotive industry.
