About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Service Porter to join our team. The Service Porter plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our dealership by managing the movement of dealer inventory and customer vehicles with care and precision. This position requires the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles and ensures that customer vehicles are parked, retrieved, and delivered safely and promptly. The Service Porter collaborates closely with the service department, including advisors, management, and the detailing team, to maintain the quality and appearance of vehicles that are traded in or received from manufacturers. Their efforts contribute significantly to customer satisfaction by providing clean and well-maintained vehicles after service.

The job demands physical stamina and the capacity to perform tasks such as routine cleaning of service areas, maintaining the orderly appearance of the service drive, and assisting in various duties that support the smooth running of the service department. The role is dynamic and may include driving inventory to different locations and acting as a shuttle driver when needed. In addition to vehicle handling, the Service Porter must adhere strictly to all applicable laws and regulations concerning safety and environmental protocols. Working conditions involve standing for long periods and occasional exposure to dust, exhaust fumes, and various hazardous materials. The position requires flexibility, including the potential for evening, holiday, and weekend shifts.

This role is vital for enhancing the operational efficiency of our dealership and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, is courteous and team-oriented, and maintains a neat and professional appearance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver’s license and insurability.
