Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, Crown Automotive Group prides itself on its community-focused values and commitment to excellence in the automotive retail sector. The establishment is known for offering rewarding career opportunities, competitive compensation, and a supportive work culture. The family-oriented nature of the business promotes growth and advancement from within, and many of its managers and executive leaders have climbed the ranks starting from entry-level positions. Crown Automotive's dedication to employee well-being and professional development creates a dynamic work environment filled with potential and opportunity for those in the automotive field.

The Porter position at Crown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a vital role responsible for efficiently managing the flow of vehicle traffic within both the Sales and Service areas of the dealership. This role offers an engaging work experience with no dull moments, making it a great fit for individuals aspiring to build a career in automotive sales or service, as well as those re-entering the workforce after a break in employment. Porters play an essential role in ensuring customers receive the best experience possible by maintaining vehicle presentation and delivering prompt assistance to both sales and service teams.

On the Sales side, Porters are entrusted with moving vehicles around the lot as needed, assisting with inventory management, retrieving vehicles for customer test drives, and keeping cars in pristine condition inside and out to present the best image to customers. On the Service side, their responsibilities include clearing the service drive by moving incoming vehicles for servicing, parking serviced vehicles, retrieving cars for customer pick-up, and performing vehicle cleaning tasks such as washing and vacuuming after service completion. The role demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to daily tasks.

The compensation for this position ranges from $16 to $17 per hour, depending on experience, offering a competitive wage for those entering or progressing in the automotive industry. Crown values professional growth and particularly prefers to promote from within, signaling excellent opportunities for career development and advancement within the company. The dealership culture is employee-centric, focusing on transparency, respect, collaboration, and fostering an environment where every team member's ideas and contributions are appreciated.

Working at Crown Automotive Group means joining a company that not only values its employees but also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, 401K with company match, and paid time off. Additionally, Crown encourages community engagement, providing opportunities for employees to give back to their local areas.
