The Service Porter position at Northside Auto Group plays a crucial role within the Service Department. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this non-exempt role entails various duties that support the smooth operation of the service department by maintaining cleanliness, organizing customer vehicles, and facilitating key operational functions. The Service Porter is responsible for moving customers' vehicles as requested, ensuring that vehicles are moved safely between service lanes, stalls, and the parking lot. This role also includes cleaning duties such as maintaining driveways, sidewalks, and the service department areas, as well as supporting vehicle preparation by applying protective covers and tire dressings. Additional responsibilities involve basic facility maintenance including trash disposal, restocking bathroom supplies, and ensuring office equipment like copiers and printers are operational. The position requires safe operation of tools and equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication of any safety concerns to management. This role does not include supervisory responsibilities but demands a dedicated individual who can perform routine tasks reliably to enhance departmental efficiency.

Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- up to one month related experience or training
- valid driver's license
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- ability to effectively present information
- ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, sit, use hands, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch
- fulfill physical vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
