The Service Porter role at Knudtsen Foothills Lincoln Mazda is integral to the functionality and success of the dealership's service department. This entry-level position involves assisting the service department technicians by ensuring workstations are organized and ready for daily operations, moving and parking vehicles within the dealership grounds, refilling tires and gas tanks, maintaining battery charges, and keeping vehicles clean both inside and out. The Service Porter helps maintain smooth service drive accessibility while greeting customers professionally, contributing to a positive customer experience from the moment they arrive. Additionally, this role involves supporting lube technicians with various tasks, shuttling vehicles and customers to other locations as needed, and helping to uphold the cleanliness and operational readiness of the mechanical shop. Candidates for this position should possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and dependable work habits.
This position pays $18.00 per hour and offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and professional development. Benefits include employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents, life insurance policies, paid holidays, sick leave, paid vacation time, employee purchase discounts, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a 4% employer match, and opportunities for training and education assistance. The job requires physical stamina as employees will often need to stand and walk on hard surfaces while exposed to various weather conditions and workplace noises. The ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds and operate various vehicle types, both automatic and manual, is essential. The position demands a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record and is subject to background checks and drug testing as part of the employment screening process.
Working at Knudtsen provides a fast-paced environment where safety, quality customer service, and teamwork are paramount. The company is an equal opportunity employer, ensuring fair treatment and inclusion across all aspects of employment regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols, maintain professionalism in interactions with customers and colleagues, and contribute meaningfully to the service department operations. The role is perfect for individuals seeking to start or continue their career in the automotive maintenance industry while benefiting from a supportive team-oriented culture and competitive compensation.
