Job Description
The role of Service Manager at Texas Roadhouse is vital to maintaining the restaurant's reputation for legendary food and legendary service. As a Service Manager, you will oversee all Front of House daily operations, ensuring that customers receive an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk in the door. This includes managing all Front of House employees, driving sales, and monitoring steps of service and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with all management team members to ensure compliance with employment policies, a clean and safe restaurant environment, and the enforcement of liquor laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing or directing training for Front of House employees, managing their performance through coaching, evaluations, and discipline, and assisting with the development of key team members. Hiring and scheduling duties are also under your purview, including reviewing applications and conducting interviews for new employees. The Service Manager is expected to create a fun, safe, and engaging workplace by implementing contests, theme nights, and incentives to motivate staff.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management
- Knowledge of employment policies and food safety standards
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Understanding of liquor laws and cost control
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Flexible availability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends

Job Duties
- Driving sales, steps of service, and guest satisfaction
- Enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing restaurant cleanliness and safety
- Providing or directing Front of House training
- Managing performance of Front of House employees including conducting evaluations and coaching
- Managing liquor orders and controlling liquor costs
- Enforcing liquor laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Assisting in employee development and conducting one-on-one performance feedback
- Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring Front of House employees
- Setting employee hours, weekly schedules, and assigning tasks
- Creating a fun and safe work environment through contests, theme nights, and staff incentives
- Practicing safe food handling procedures
