Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain that values cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked real food. With a footprint spanning North America and Europe, Chipotle is distinguished as the only restaurant company of its size that wholly owns and operates all its restaurants. The company is committed to providing high-quality, wholesome ingredients in its menu options, avoiding artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Known for its innovative approach to fast food, Chipotle leads the industry with sustainable business practices and technological innovations that enhance customer experience and food accessibility.
The Service Leader role is integral to Chipotle's mission of reshaping the fast-food landscape experienced by its customers. The Service Leader is tasked with fostering a positive customer experience by ensuring that food is not only high-quality and safe but also served promptly and efficiently. This role requires vigilance in maintaining food safety through rigorous monitoring of hygiene practices like hand washing and glove changes and adhering to temperature controls and food shelf-life policies. The Service Leader is also responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the restaurant crew, ensuring that all team members are well-trained and capable of delivering excellent customer service. They play a pivotal role in workforce management—monitoring crew breaks, organizing shift changes, conducting shift meetings, and evaluating performance through reviews.
Additionally, this position involves some administrative duties such as banking, cash handling, paperwork management, and ensuring office equipment functionality. The Service Leader is expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment by managing supplies and ensuring all equipment on the line operates smoothly. This role demands strong leadership and communication skills, with an emphasis on mentorship and development of future leaders within the team.
Chipotle offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.85 to $25.44, complemented by digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include tuition assistance covering 100% for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free meals, medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and opportunities for career progression with 80% of managers having started as crew members. The company also promotes an inclusive workplace culture committed to equal employment opportunities without regard to personal characteristics, fostering respect and growth for all employees.
