Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food using wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With a strong presence spanning across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is uniquely distinguished as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe. Rooted deeply in sustainable business practices, and pioneering advancements in digital and technology integration, Chipotle prioritizes delivering an exceptional guest experience and accessibility to better food for everyone. The company emphasizes its commitment to a values-driven, people-first culture that champions diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities, fostering a workplace where every individual is treated with respect and empowered to realize their full potential. Chipotle offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package alongside multiple growth opportunities, providing a fulfilling career path within the food industry.

The role of Service Leader at Chipotle is an engaging and responsible leadership position focused on maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring the safe and high-quality preparation and service of food at the restaurant. As a Service Leader, you will be instrumental in supervising the restaurant crew to ensure they are well-trained and deliver excellent customer service standards. This role requires attentiveness and physical activity, as you will be on your feet working throughout your shift, except when on break. Service Leaders are proactive problem solvers who assess the restaurant’s needs and lend a hand wherever necessary to support overall operations. Core responsibilities include managing food quality and safety standards, assisting with customer issue resolution, overseeing crew schedules and performance reviews, and facilitating the development and training of current and future team members. Additionally, this position entails office administrative duties such as banking, cash handling oversight, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring functioning equipment.

Chipotle values individuals who embrace the Food With Integrity philosophy, understand cash handling procedures, and have knowledge of food safety regulations. Candidates with previous restaurant experience and high school diplomas will be well-equipped for success in this role. Chipotle compensates Service Leaders with a base pay range of $18.80 to $20.90 per hour, plus eligibility for digital tips. Joining Chipotle as a Service Leader means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that is not only focused on serving superior food but also committed to supporting sustainable farming practices, advancing employee development, and shaping the future of fast-casual dining. The company’s inclusive culture and strong leadership growth track (with 80 percent of managers starting as crew members) make this an outstanding career opportunity for motivated, customer-focused individuals seeking to make a meaningful impact in the food service industry.
