The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a dynamic position central to maintaining exceptional customer service and food quality standards. This role demands an individual who can actively support both the crew and the customers by ensuring the preparation and service of safe, high-quality food, while upholding the company’s rigorous food safety protocols. Service Leaders are responsible for training and developing front-of-house crew members, managing efficient restaurant operations, and sustaining a clean, organized, and well-equipped service line. In this role, Service Leaders will directly contribute to Chipotle’s mission by helping resolve customer issues, monitoring crew breaks and shift changes, and overseeing line schedules and food safety checklists. They also partake in administrative functions such as cash handling, banking, and maintaining office equipment. Beyond the operational responsibilities, Service Leaders play a critical role in cultivating future leadership within the company by coaching crew members and assisting with performance reviews. Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand and articulate food safety policies
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Familiarity with office administration tasks
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Physical ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods

  • Have familiarity with office paperwork
  • Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

  • Have restaurant experience

Job Duties

  • Making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • Helping to resolve food quality issues
  • Supporting food safety including ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring the Daily Food Safety Checklist and food safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Helping to resolve customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences
  • Helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • Developing and cross training all front of house crew
  • Assisting with crew performance reviews
  • Developing future Service Leaders
  • Assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • Ensuring office equipment remains in working order and making sure office supplies are ordered as necessary
  • Ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
