The Service Leader role at Chipotle plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and memorable customer experience by overseeing the preparation and serving of safe, high-quality food while leading and supporting restaurant crew members. This position requires a dynamic individual who is proactive and present on the floor, actively ensuring that food safety standards and operational procedures are strictly followed. The Service Leader is responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized line and monitoring line equipment performance to guarantee operational efficiency. A core part of the role includes training and developing front-of-house crew members, helping to foster a motivated and knowledgeable team capable of delivering excellent customer service. Service Leaders assist with handling customer incidents, working diligently to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

In addition to customer and food quality responsibilities, the Service Leader supports daily operational tasks including monitoring crew breaks, shift changes, meetings, and line schedules. The role extends into administrative functions such as banking, cash handling, and managing office paperwork, ensuring smooth back-of-house operations. Service Leaders also oversee inventory management, ensuring the restaurant has the proper quantity of supplies and that office equipment remains in working order. Job Duties

  • making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • helping to resolve food quality issues
  • supporting food safety including ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring the Daily Food Safety Checklist and food safety policies and procedures are followed
  • helping to resolve customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences
  • helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • developing and cross training all front of house crew
  • assisting with crew performance reviews
  • developing future service leaders
  • assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • ensuring office equipment remains in working order and making sure office supplies are ordered as necessary
  • ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
