Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain committed to redefining fast food by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many other companies of its size, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, emphasizing quality and consistency in every location. The company's mission is to cultivate a better world by making better food accessible to everyone, supporting sustainable farming and food practices, and leveraging digital and technological advancements to enhance customer experiences.

The Service Leader role at Chipotle plays a critical part in maintaining a positive customer experience and ensuring the highest food safety and quality standards. This position requires an individual to be proactive, hands-on, and committed to supporting both the restaurant crew and customers. Service Leaders ensure that delicious, high-quality food is served promptly while adhering to stringent safety guidelines, including proper hand washing, glove changes, and maintaining correct food temperatures. They also address any food quality or customer service issues to uphold the restaurant's high standards.

In this role, Service Leaders are responsible for training and developing the front-of-house team, monitoring crew schedules, breaks, shift changes, and meetings, and assisting with performance reviews. They also manage essential administrative tasks such as cash handling, banking, office paperwork, and supply inventory. The position demands the individual to be on their feet for most of their shift but also encourages initiative to assist others or complete required tasks when not busy.

Chipotle offers competitive compensation ranging from $16.30 to $18.14 per hour, supplemented with digital tips. The company also provides a robust benefits package, including tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 annually, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and opportunities for career advancement. Notably, 80% of management began their careers as crew members, highlighting the organization's commitment to internal growth.

Chipotle Mexican Grill fosters an inclusive culture, embracing diversity and equal employment opportunities without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. The company actively supports reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.

Joining Chipotle as a Service Leader means becoming part of a values-driven, people-first organization dedicated to reshaping the fast-food industry while promoting ethical business practices and sustainability. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food quality, customer service, team development, and upholding food safety standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
