Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain renowned for its commitment to cultivating a better world through food. Established with a mission to serve responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients, Chipotle stands apart from traditional fast-food establishments by eliminating artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives from its offerings. The company operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, uniquely owning and operating all its locations in North America and Europe. Chipotle’s dedication to food integrity and sustainability is matched by its investment in digital innovation and technology, providing an accessible dining experience while fostering sustainable business practices.

This role is for a Service Leader within Chipotle’s restaurant team. The Service Leader position is integral to maintaining a positive and efficient customer experience by ensuring that high-quality, safe food is prepared and served promptly. This leadership role involves supporting the training and development of crew members, managing daily restaurant operations, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards. Service Leaders actively engage with customers to resolve issues, oversee the functionality of line equipment, and maintain clean and organized food preparation areas. The position requires physical stamina, including being on one's feet while working and assisting team members as needed during quieter periods.

In this role, the Service Leader will ensure that food safety protocols like hand washing, glove changes, temperature monitoring, and compliance with the daily food safety checklist are rigorously followed. Additionally, Service Leaders contribute to staffing management by monitoring crew breaks, shift changes, and line schedules, and they play a key role in crew performance evaluations and leadership development. Beyond the floor, responsibilities extend to assisting with office duties such as banking, cash handling, paperwork, and maintaining office equipment and supply inventory.

Chipotle provides a supportive work environment emphasizing personal and professional growth. The company offers competitive compensation, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, and benefits like paid time off and holiday closures. Tuition assistance is available, covering either full tuition for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, enabling employees to advance their education and careers. The opportunity for growth is significant, with 80 percent of managers having started in crew positions. Chipotle also offers digital tips and free meals as part of its employee benefits.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a values-driven, people-first organization committed to fairness, respect, and inclusivity. The company enforces equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, and other protected characteristics. Reasonable accommodations are provided for qualified applicants with disabilities. This role is an excellent fit for individuals passionate about food safety, team leadership, and customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment where innovation, sustainability, and quality are paramount.
