Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a rapidly growing fast-casual restaurant chain that is committed to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many fast-food companies, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for every guest. The company’s mission focuses on making better food accessible to everyone while incorporating sustainable business practices, cutting-edge digital and technology solutions, and a demonstrated commitment to ethical sourcing and customer well-being.
Joining Chipotle means being part of a values-driven, people-first organization that prioritizes respect, diversity, and opportunity for all employees. The company fosters an inclusive workplace culture committed to fair employment practices without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics under applicable law. Chipotle offers reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities, ensuring equal opportunity for all who seek employment.
The Service Leader role at Chipotle is an exciting and critical position within each restaurant’s operational team. It is designed for individuals passionate about maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring that safe, high-quality food is prepared and delivered swiftly. As a Service Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and developing restaurant crew, ensuring food safety standards are rigorously observed, and promoting consistent, excellent customer service throughout every interaction. This role demands an individual ready to be on their feet throughout their shift, proactively addressing tasks and supporting restaurant operations when the pace slows.
Service Leaders play an integral role in upholding Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy, which emphasizes sustainable farming practices and a genuine connection to the food served. Responsibilities include assisting with crew training, performance reviews, shift management, and administrative duties such as cash handling and office paperwork. Candidates for this role should have awareness of food safety regulations, cash handling procedures, and basic office operational knowledge. A high school diploma and restaurant experience are prerequisites for success in this position.
In return for your dedication and hard work, Chipotle offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports your professional growth and personal well-being. Benefits include tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free meals during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and numerous opportunities for advancement—highlighted by the fact that 80% of Chipotle’s managers started as crew members.
If you are eager to be a part of a company that is reshaping the future of fast food with a commitment to quality, integrity, and the community, the Service Leader position at Chipotle provides a unique opportunity to cultivate a better world through better food and exceptional service.
