The role of Service Leader at Chipotle is pivotal in maintaining the high standards customers expect. As a Service Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that safe, quality food is prepared and served with the best customer service. This position requires standing and active participation during shifts, with an expectation to assess and assist with tasks proactively when not busy. Leading by example, the Service Leader supports the team by maintaining a clean, organized work environment, ensuring all kitchen and line equipment are functioning correctly. Additionally, this role involves overseeing food safety standards by monitoring handwashing, glove changes, and food temperature controls, and ensuring compliance with safety checklists and policies. The Service Leader helps resolve food quality issues and customer incidents, contributing to a positive dining experience. You will also play a key role in crew management—monitoring breaks, facilitating shift changes and meetings, and cross-training front-of-house team members. This includes assisting with performance reviews and fostering the growth of future Service Leaders within the team. Office administrative duties such as cash handling, banking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment also fall under this role. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • helping to resolve food quality issues
  • supporting food safety which includes the following: ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring the Daily Food Safety Checklist and food safety policies and procedures are followed
  • helping to resolve customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences
  • helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • developing and cross training all front of house crew
  • assisting with crew performance reviews
  • developing future service leaders
  • assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as: banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • ensuring office equipment remains in working order and making sure office supplies are ordered as necessary
  • ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
