Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain that is on a mission to cultivate a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with the intent of transforming the traditional fast-food experience, Chipotle has distinguished itself by focusing not only on delivering high-quality, flavorful meals fast but also on sustainability, ethical sourcing, and community engagement. With restaurants located throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its establishments in North America and Europe. This ensures a high degree of control over food quality, service standards, and operational consistency. Passionate employees dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences contribute to Chipotle's reputation as an innovator in the food industry. The company also embraces technology and digital advancements to create accessible and convenient dining options for guests, bolstering its status as a forward-thinking brand. Chipotle maintains a strong commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity employment across all levels of the organization. It fosters a workplace where everyone is respected and supported in achieving their full potential. Accommodations are provided as needed to ensure accessibility throughout the hiring process.

The role of Service Leader at Chipotle is a dynamic and integral position responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience by maintaining standards of safe and high-quality food preparation and service. As a Service Leader, you will oversee the restaurant crew, ensuring that team members are well trained and provide excellent customer service. You will actively engage in day-to-day operations, including maintaining a clean, organized food line with all equipment functioning properly. The role demands that you be on your feet during work hours unless taking a scheduled break, displaying a hands-on approach by identifying and assisting with tasks spontaneously when not busy. You will handle responsibilities such as addressing food quality issues, ensuring compliance with food safety policies including monitoring hand washing, glove changes, time and temperature controls, and shelf life checks. Customer incident resolution is a key part of the job, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.

Service Leaders are also tasked with managing crew breaks, shift changes, meetings, and line scheduling. A core component of the role involves developing and cross-training front-of-house crew members, contributing to performance reviews, and nurturing future Service Leaders within the team. Administrative duties such as cash handling, banking, and office paperwork management are within the scope of the position. You will also ensure that office equipment is maintained and that supplies are ordered and stocked to meet operational needs. This role offers a salary range from $18.55 to $20.65 per hour, with the potential to earn digital tips, making it a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about leadership and customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. At Chipotle, you will benefit from competitive compensation, opportunities for career advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition assistance, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and free food. Join Chipotle to grow your professional skills while contributing to a mission focused on better food and a better world.
