The role of Service Leader at Chipotle is a pivotal position responsible for maintaining an outstanding customer experience by ensuring that safe, high-quality food is prepared and served efficiently. As a front-line leader, the Service Leader supports the restaurant crew by providing ongoing training, ensuring adherence to food safety protocols, and overseeing the cleanliness and organization of the service line. This role demands a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, remains on their feet during shifts, and proactively addresses daily operational tasks to contribute to overall restaurant success. The Service Leader also plays an essential role in resolving food quality issues and customer concerns, promoting positive customer interactions, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. Additionally, this role involves assisting with administrative functions such as cash handling policies, banking, shift coordination, and maintaining office supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • have knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures
  • have knowledge of food safety and health department matters
  • have familiarity with office paperwork
  • have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Job Duties

  • making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • helping to resolve food quality issues
  • supporting food safety including ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring the Daily Food Safety Checklist and food safety policies are followed
  • helping to resolve customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences
  • helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • developing and cross training all front of house crew
  • assisting with crew performance reviews
  • developing future service leaders
  • assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • ensuring office equipment remains in working order and making sure office supplies are ordered as necessary
  • ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
