The Service Leader role at Chipotle is an exciting opportunity designed for individuals passionate about fast-food service that breaks the traditional mold. The Service Leader is crucial in maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring food safety, quality, and excellent service standards in the restaurant environment. This role requires hands-on involvement on the restaurant floor, keeping the customer line clean, organized, and efficient while supporting the entire crew through training, development, and leadership. Service Leaders facilitate operational smoothness by handling office administration tasks such as banking, cash handling, and inventory management, ensuring all supplies and equipment function seamlessly. This position demands multitasking and a proactive attitude, requiring individuals to identify what tasks need attention and collaborate with the team to get them done, especially during less busy times.
Service Leaders not only ensure that the guests receive high-quality, delicious food served promptly but also uphold the company’s Food With Integrity philosophy. They are responsible for monitoring food safety compliance including proper hand washing, glove changes, and temperature checks, alongside performing daily food safety audits. Besides maintaining operational standards, Service Leaders play a pivotal role in resolving food quality issues and customer incidents to uphold Chipotle's high standards of guest satisfaction. They oversee crew schedules, break times, and facilitate shift meetings, fostering a positive workplace environment. Moreover, this role includes mentoring and cross-training front-of-house Crew members, assisting with performance reviews, and developing future leaders within the restaurant.
Chipotle offers a competitive hourly base pay range of $18.80 to $20.90 for this position, along with digital tips. Additional incentives include full tuition assistance for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and holiday closures. Job Requirements
- have a high school diploma
- have restaurant experience
- be able to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy
- have knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures
- have knowledge of food safety and health department matters
- have familiarity with office paperwork
- have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

- helping to resolve food quality issues
- supporting food safety by ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring the daily food safety checklist and food safety policies and procedures are followed
- helping to resolve customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences
- helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
- developing and cross training all front of house crew
- assisting with crew performance reviews
